Dream Desert Wedding
When our wonderful longtime clients came to us with the idea of having their dream desert wedding, we were overjoyed and couldn’t wait to make their dreams a reality.
We immediately put together some of the best professionals in the industry to assist in designing and executing our client’s vision. We were so lucky to build our dream team with; Edgar Zamora and Angela Murelli from Revelry Event Designers, Nancy Kaye from Mark’s Garden, Curt Stahl from Images by Lighting, Gus Galanis from Bright Event Rentals and David Meek from CBC Technical.
Incorporating the groom’s modern aesthetic with the bride’s love of all things feminine, we used vision boards, drawings, renderings, and mock-ups to create the overall look and feel of the event.
Not only were we lucky enough to collaborate with the best designers, but we were honored to have some of the best chefs and teams from the top restaurants in Los Angeles; sushi from Nobu, hors d’oeuvres and desserts from Chinois on Main and plated three-course dinner from Giorgio Baldi.
Drawing on the incredible mountain views as our backdrop, we worked with Nancy and her team to design the most unique and impressive custom-built chuppah in shades of soft blush, ivory, and white. The over 100-foot candlelit aisle leading to the chuppah was equally as dramatic.
After the ceremony, the guests were escorted down a long pathway to the outdoor cocktail hour at our client’s private residence. There, they enjoyed live music, drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres while relaxing in cozy cabanas and lounge furniture groupings. The incredible colors of the sunset served as a perfect backdrop to this beautiful setting.
As cocktail hour came to a close, guests were invited into the wedding reception, which took place in a custom-built glass structure. We worked closely with Edgar and Angela from Revelry and Gus from Bright to design the most impressive, elegant and modern environment. From the tufted paneled walls, custom floral stage backdrop, patterned dance floor, uniquely designed ceiling treatment, and four-sided LED-lit bar, the reception was a show-stopper.
Guests were seated at two types of rectilinear tables; square tables with linen and mirrored tops and custom white lacquer tables on gold bases. All tables were embellished with low mono botanical florals along with taper, pillar and votive candles that illuminated the room. Scalloped chargers, gold flatware, crystal glassware, gold-embroidered napkins and custom menus topped with nosegays of ivory spray roses completed the look.
Strategically placed behind the sweetheart table, The Butter End Cakery designed a fabulous six-tiered wedding cake with cascading handmade sugar peonies. This was placed atop a square lacquer table dressed with lush pave roses. This exquisite display was a focal point of the room.
JB Project from West Coast Music kicked off the night with amazing dance music, setting the tone for the evening. Later, after our cake cutting, the room went dark and guests were treated to a surprise neon dance show by Zen Arts. At the end of the performance, the room was transformed into an after-party complete with LED screens and black lights. Paying homage to Coachella Valley’s Neon Festival, DJ Politik took the stage and kept guests dancing until the wee hours of the morning.
It took ten days to build this amazing oasis from the ground up. We are humbled and grateful for the tireless effort our team of over 200 put into this incredible celebration. We are so grateful to Brian and Allison Callaway from Callaway Gable and Marc Dahm from Bluecat International for capturing this one of a kind evening so incredibly. We are honored by our beautiful bride Samantha (who looked stunning in her Lela Rose gown), her handsome groom Matt (in his Tom Ford tux) and their families allowed us to be a part of this timeless celebration.
